Our History
In the Beginning
Fred Sladen started about 1880 in Tower Street, Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire, England.
Then in 1896 he sold up and moved his family to Christchurch, New Zealand
1854 – 1925
the Sons
After his death in 1925 the business continued in the hands of his sons Reg and Irving.
Reg was succeeded by son-in-law Fred Dowie and Irving by son Howard Sladen.
